Randstad - One of The Sunday Times "100 Best Companies To Work For" in 2010
Randstad Staffing is delighted to announce that it has secured a place in The Sunday Times’ "100 Best Companies To Work For” list in 2010, just 18 months after managing the biggest ever merger in the history of the recruitment industry.
In May 2008, Randstad Employment Bureau Ltd merged with Select Appointments as part of a massive global merger between Randstad and Vedior, which created the world’s second largest employment and HR services company.
It’s a real testament to the company’s strength and astute management of a major shift in corporate culture, and a striking testament to the employees’ dedication to successfully managing their own world of work that the new company came in at number 63 in this years’ list.
The Sunday Times found that:
* 74% of employees were enthusiastic about the company’s future
* 78% were confident in the leadership skills of senior management,
* 76% felt that their management exemplified the organisation’s values
* And 74% reported their personal efforts are recognised
Diane Martyn, CEO of Randstad UK said “Randstad is a people business, with a 50 year heritage. It’s absolutely dedicated to finding the right jobs for people and the right candidates for clients. It’s about understanding the working environment and shaping the world of work for thousands and thousands of people across five continents. Randstad effected a smooth integration because of the support, loyalty and positive attitude fostered by and amongst our employees.
Everybody has played a part in winning this award, and I’m exceptionally proud of our shared achievement”.

How do you apply?
We have made that really easy for you. Simply send your CV to us at randstad.careers@randstad.co.uk, and you automatically go through our resourcing process. It is important to us that, as well as reviewing your CV, we get to know you, your past experiences, what transferrable skills you now have and what motivates you in the workplace – attitude is equally important to us.
On receipt of your application, you will be asked to complete an on-line questionnaire and from there you may be invited to have a telephone interview with a member of our Resourcing Team. At this stage we get to know you better, but also go into more detail about the role, what is expected of you and what you can expect from us.
The next step is for you to complete on-line verbal assessments prior to a face to face interview with a branch manager where you will take part in a competency-based interview. This interview will be held in the branch and you will have the opportunity to see for yourself the working day of a Randstad consultant.
Should you be successful at this stage, you will then be invited to complete further on-line assessments and then a second and final interview. It might seem like a long process, but it is very thorough. We want to get it right.
