Almost all workers in IT jobs are keen to move on into a better post, a new poll has revealed.

Low pay and poor career progression opportunities are driving the workers to look elsewhere, a specialist IT recruiter claimed – more than a third (34 per cent) said they expected to leave within three to six months.

A further third declared they were after a change of job by 2010 and a staggering 87 per cent said they were openly job hunting.

Finding new work may not be as easy as some might imagine. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and professional services firm KPMG reported less than one-third of employers will increase staff levels.

Staff tempted to change should embrace the skills of a dedicated recruitment agency, such as Randstad employment bureau.

Currently, it has work available in office and PA jobs in Manchester and employment in call centre jobs in Birmingham.
