UK's intelligence service is adopting digital recruitment techniques in a drive to attract new staff.

Government Communications Head Quarters (GCHQ) is launching a new website and is hoping an integrated campaign will appeal to potential recruits, Onrec.com has reported.

"We are making a substantial investment in finding the right people to work at GCHQ," its press officer Alan Thompson said.

"By combining new technology, digital channels and traditional media we hope to attract the highly skilled and well motivated people we need."

The campaign utilises digital displays on the London underground and in-text advertising across a number of web properties.

Activated by mouse-over, the text ads appear over words, such as 'career advice' and 'project manager' with recruitment information.

Successful applicants will be expected to show a high level of integrity in their daily work, which is likely to bring them into contact with 'sensitive' information.
