The BBC has stood behind its decision to outsource its HR function despite reports of continued problems.

Its ten-year deal was signed in 2006 and was designed to save the company £50 million.

The broadcasters People director Steven Kelly told Person today he was committed to continue with the deal.

"Any outsourcing contract has its challenges," he said. Mr Kelly noted there was a big programme in place to reduces duplication and overlap.

One broadcasting union has raised doubts over the efficiency of the agreement. Helen Ryan from Bectu said: "Both staff and the union preferred it when HR was done in-house as you could build relationships with the HR team."

Using an agency can help job seekers to find work as they first submit their details and leave the agent to find relevant posts.

Randstad regularly offers positions in call centres across the country, receptionist jobs in Manchester and recruitment opportunities in Worcester.
