Chartered surveyor Gray's has created three new job vacancies after opening a brand new office in England's north-east.

The rural-specialist surveyor recently established a new base at Belmont Business Park which is close to Durham City.

As part of this, the company has created a professional team of 12 backed up by a five-strong support team which involved making three new hires in the local area.

Gray's was founded in 2005 in Weardale but steady expansion led to the establishment of an office in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and now the Durham base.

Calum Gillhespy, Gray's co-founder, told the Northern Echo that "these are exciting times for the business and this expansion shows our desire to keep ahead of our client base, to ensure that a consistent and high service is always provided".

In other news, the Sunderland Echo reports 500 call centre job vacancies could be created in East Durham if Hartlepool firm Respondez opts to establish a base in the area.
