REC: Two-thirds of workers are happy
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has said two-thirds of workers are currently happy in their jobs.
It said the Trades Union Congress (TUC) - which recently conducted a workplace satisfaction poll - has been generally negative in its interpretation of results, and in many ways the UK is a good place to work.
"Most importantly, the UK labour market provides opportunity in terms of job-seekers being able to access work and subsequently progress within the labour market," said Tom Hadley, director of external relations.
"The UK recruitment industry plays a vital role within this context by helping jobseekers identify and secure the right jobs at the right time within their career."
Mr Hadley went on to suggest employers use flexible staffing methods to help manage stress and limit excessive workloads both highlighted in the TUC's assessment.
Flexible staffing in call centres in Liverpool include part time and full time workers.
