Randstad Care’s Cardiff branch proudly serves the South Wales and Bristol region. Our city centre branch is open from 8:30-17:30 on weekdays and is a short two minute walk from Cardiff Queens Street train station, making it easily accessible and convenient to visit us. Branch Specialities 

Randstad Care in Cardiff specialises in care and support work vacancies across Wales and Bristol in both the private and public sectors. Our designated nursing and social work teams cover qualified care jobs in the area, and are on hand to provide tailored career advice if you are looking to pursue a career in one of these professions. We deal with both temporary and permanent contracts, as well as shift work, so we can offer a level of flexibility to suit each candidate.

We currently have a number of contracts with Local Authorities via the Welsh Purchasing Consortium, which means that we are the sole supplier for the majority of public sector vacancies in the area. We also have a number of agreements in place with private and voluntary organisations, including one of the largest housing and care companies operating in Wales, Grŵp Gwalia Cyf, along with many residential care providers, independent fostering agencies, and hospitals. 

At a branch level, we endeavour to support jobseekers in the local area to find the right career for them through a number of regular open days in our office, along with events at universities, job fairs and Jobcentres. We provide a full service to candidates, from the registration stage to securing a temporary or permanent placement and offering support throughout their employment. We don’t consider our job to be finished when a placement is made, and will continue to provide aftercare services to ensure that our candidates feel valued and supported in their new roles.

Working in the Community 

Investing in our pool of local talent is vital as a responsible recruitment business, and at the Cardiff office we work closely with local jobcentres and hold regular open days where we hold CV workshops. We also ensure that our candidates are able to develop professionally and further their careers by providing a wide range of training sessions at no cost to our candidates.

Randstad as a company has paired up with the children’s charity Variety which provides support to disabled children and their families, and the Cardiff branch is taking the lead in organising fundraising activities and raising awareness of the charity. Lauren Thomas is our champion for Variety fundraising, and has so far been responsible for organising a number of events across the company and we’re off to a great start so far in terms of the money we have raised for this fantastic cause. As an office, we have also taken part in events such as fun runs to raise money for charity. This year, Keri Evans from our Key Accounts team is running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October to raise money for Variety. We at the Cardiff office pride ourselves on our fancy dress, and we also hold regular costume contests and themed dress-down days in the office to raise money for good causes.

 

Meet the Team

Sarah Jane Leigh - Public Sector Team Manager
Sarah is responsible for overseeing all public sector recruitment and is responsible for the 10 Local Authorities that Randstad Care was awarded in Wales following a tendering exercise. Sarah has a team of 4 who supply qualified and unqualified staff on a temporary basis to Social Services organisations. Sarah has 10 years social work recruitment experience, and has worked for Randstad Care for 7 years. Sarah has a real passion for travelling and this year has visited Australia, Thailand and America. 2017's destinations remain a mystery. Life is an adventure, so enjoy it! is Sarah's moto. Keeping still isn't for her. Most weekends will be action packed; as she ticks her way through her bucket list.

Keri Evans - Senior Key Account Consultant
Keri first started at Randstad Care in February 2014 on the Key Accounts team as a branch assistant. He has now progressed into a Recruitment Consultant, initially recruiting for care assistants and support workers for 8 local authorities across South Wales. He has since moved on to a Qualified Social Work desk and is working towards becoming a Senior consultant for the Key Accounts team. Keri enjoys football and watching his 'beloved' Arsenal and travelling.

Alice Parfitt - Key Accounts Consultant

Alice has been working with Randstad to support our public sector workers for the past 6 months. Alice focuses on finding the perfect roles for our Social Workers across ten Local Authorities in Wales as part of the WPC Contract. Before Randstad Alice worked as a Customer Representative within a well established building society and in her spare time Alice enjoy's going to the cinema and socialising with friends.

Fiona Jack – Key Account Consultant

Fiona is an experienced recruitment consultant with over 4 years experience across a range of sectors, most recently coming from education. Fiona is running a busy unqualified desk as a Key Accounts Consultant managing master contracts for local authority. Outside of Randstad Fiona enjoys fitness training, live music and reading.

Alex Hartrey - Senior Nursing Consultant
Alex first joined Randstad care in 2010, starting in the key accounts team, managing un-qualified roles for master contracts and local authorities. Having successfully managed these accounts, she then achieved the role of a Senior Consultant. Since 2014, she seized the opportunity to move across to focus on providing support workers to private organisations within Wales and in January 2016 Alex moved to our Nursing team.

Hannah Bool - Nursing consultant
Before Randstad, Hannah worked in Finance, but after completing an Open University degree in Health and Social Care she decided she wanted a career change. Hannah now recruits for qualified nurses for both the public and private sector. She originally joined the Key Accounts team recruiting support workers, and after 6 months transferred to the nursing team. Outside of work, Hannah likes to relax with her two lovely dogs, and research where her next holiday will be!

Samantha Marriott – Nursing Consultant
Sam joined Randstad in July 2015 and having worked to support our residential clients for over a year Sam has now moved team to supply Qualified Nursing staff to the private sector across South West Wales. Sam enjoys spending her spare time watching live music and loves spending her summers at festivals!

Matt Mills - Residential Consultant
I joined Randstad in September 2016 running the unqualified supply of temporary and permanent staffing into the private sector of care. This allowed me to build strong relationships with the clients and the candidates. Before Randstad I previously recruited in the pharmacy, social care and construction industries.
