I joined Randstad just over year ago running a large local authority contract. This allowed me to build strong relationships with the authority and the candidates. After six months my role developed into running two large contracts by taking on another master vendor contract. After seven months in this position, I have now joined the Nursing team.

Randstad Care - Cardiff

Randstad Care’s Cardiff branch proudly serves the South Wales and Bristol region. Our city centre branch is open from 8:30-17:30 on weekdays and is a short two minute walk from Cardiff Queens Street train station, making it easily accessible and convenient to visit us. If you would like to book a registration, please call us on 02920 877510 to make an appointment.

Branch Specialities

Randstad Care in Cardiff specialises in care and support work vacancies across Wales and Bristol in both the private and public sectors. Our designated nursing and social work teams cover qualified care jobs in the area, and are on hand to provide tailored career advice if you are looking to pursue a career in one of these professions. We deal with both temporary and permanent contracts, as well as shift work, so we can offer a level of flexibility to suit each candidate.

We currently have a number of contracts with Local Authorities via the Welsh Purchasing Consortium, which means that we are the sole supplier for the majority of public sector vacancies in the area. We also have a number of agreements in place with private and voluntary organisations, including one of the largest housing and care companies operating in Wales, Grŵp Gwalia Cyf, along with many residential care providers, independent fostering agencies, and hospitals.

At a branch level, we endeavour to support jobseekers in the local area to find the right career for them through a number of regular open days in our office, along with events at universities, job fairs and Jobcentres. We provide a full service to candidates, from the registration stage to securing a temporary or permanent placement and offering support throughout their employment. We don’t consider our job to be finished when a placement is made, and will continue to provide aftercare services to ensure that our candidates feel valued and supported in their new roles.

Working in the Community

Investing in our pool of local talent is vital as a responsible recruitment business, and at the Cardiff office we work closely with local jobcentres and hold regular open days where we hold CV workshops. We also ensure that our candidates are able to develop professionally and further their careers by providing a wide range of training sessions at no cost to our candidates.

Randstad as a company has paired up with the children’s charity Variety which provides support to disabled children and their families, and the Cardiff branch is taking the lead in organising fundraising activities and raising awareness of the charity. Lauren Thomas is our champion for Variety fundraising, and has so far been responsible for organising a number of events across the company and we’re off to a great start so far in terms of the money we have raised for this fantastic cause. As an office, we have also taken part in events such as fun runs to raise money for charity. This year, Keri Evans from our Key Accounts team is running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October to raise money for Variety. We at the Cardiff office pride ourselves on our fancy dress, and we also hold regular costume contests and themed dress-down days in the office to raise money for good causes.

Meet the Team

Dan Owen – Business Manager
Dan has worked in recruitment for 7 years, and joined Randstad in July to head up the team in Cardiff. He has previously managed teams that recruit across the Public and Private sectors in Wales in areas ranging from construction to HR, and for the last 12 months has focused on Nursing and Care. Dan’s teams cover all of South Wales as well as the South West of England and specialise in the recruitment of Nurses, Social Workers and Care staff in both the Public and Private Sector. Outside of work Dan juggles his time between family and friends, and clings on to the belief that he could still do a job for Wales.
Sarah Jane Leigh - Public Sector Team Manager
Sarah is responsible for overseeing all public sector recruitment and is responsible for the 10 Local Authorities that Randstad Care was awarded in Wales following a tendering exercise.
Sarah has a team of 4 who supply qualified and unqualified staff on a temporary basis to Social Services organisations. Sarah has 10 years social work recruitment experience, and has worked for Randstad Care for 7 years. Sarah has a real passion for travelling and this year has visited Australia, Thailand and America. 2017's destinations remain a mystery.  Life is an adventure, so enjoy it! is Sarah's moto. Keeping still isn't for her. Most weekends will be action packed; as she ticks her way through her bucket list.
Keri Evans - Key Account Consultant
Keri first started at Randstad Care in February 2014 on the Key Accounts team as a branch assistant. He has now progressed into a Recruitment Consultant, initially recruiting for care assistants and support workers for 8 local authorities across South Wales. He has since moved on to a Qualified Social Work desk and is working towards becoming a Senior consultant for the Key Accounts team. Keri enjoys football and watching his 'beloved' Arsenal and travelling.
Fiona Jack – Key Account Consultant
Fiona is an experienced recruitment consultant with over 4 years experience across a range of sectors, most recently coming from education. Fiona is running a busy unqualified desk as a Key Accounts Consultant managing master contracts for local authority. Outside of Randstad Fiona enjoys fitness training, live music and reading.
Samantha Marriott – Client Direct Consultant
Samantha is our Client Direct Consultant and has been with the business since July 2015. As well as providing temporary staff into Child and Adult Services across South Wales, Samantha also supports a number of Children's Residential services in the South West of England from the Cardiff office. Sam enjoys spending her spare time watching live music and loves spending her summers at festivals!
Lottie Flower – Nursing Consultant
Lottie is pretty new to recruitment, but loving being a part of team nursing, supplying qualified staff  to homes across RCT, Swansea and Bridgend.
In her downtime Lottie enjoys visits to museums, walks and making her own clothes.

Hannah Bool - Nursing consultant
Hannah was first introduced to Randstad Care through our very own Alex Hartrey, who told her about the available position in our Cardiff office. Before Randstad, Hannah worked as a Finance Associate but now recruits for qualified nurses in and around the Newport, Monmouth, Caerphilly and Ebbw Vale areas. She originally joined the Key Accounts team, and after 6 months moved over to Team Nursing and hasn’t looked back since! Outside of Randstad Hannah likes to keep things fairly chilled, spending time with her two lovely dogs, reading and taking trips to the cinema.

"This is to testify that l have known Rhian for the period of 5 years. From 2010 to date as my manager at Danybryn Nursing home in Radyr in Cardiff City and as my manager/consultant for Randstad Care LTD. Below is the way l have found my work relationship with Rhian:
1.        Approachability: Rhian is very approachable and easy to access in time of need. She always wears a smile on her face, an attribute that l find very encouraging as the worker for Randstad.  I feel accepted and relaxed when talking to her.
2.        Flexibility: Rhian is flexible and will always explain issues to me in a manner that gives room for flexibility and will always ask my views on issues under discussion.
3.        Respectability: Rhian has always treats me with due respect at all times.
4.        Confidentiality: Rhian has always maintained confidentiality when talking to me about issues related to my work by discussing such matters in an office away from the eyes of the public. It is something that l cherish.
5          Support: Rhian has always supported me in my work and discussed issues amicably and l felt encouraged when l have spoken to her. Rhian has provided me with material support such uniforms as part of my professional responsibility as l do represent Randstad Care LTD wherever l go and work.
Concluding remarks: I find working for Randstad under Rhian very enjoyable and above all l am assured of shifts any time l need them." - Mandayachepa Nyando
