"I have worked within nursing recruitment for over 4 1/2 years now and I can honestly say that it is one of the most rewarding sectors to be part of. The Care sector is ever changing and comes with unique challenges and demands but at Randstad Care we pride ourselves on quality and compliance and the impeccable service given to both candidates and clients. I manage a Specialist Nursing Team who look after Community and Integrated Services within the North West and Midlands and supply all community job profiles under this remit. Manchester Care is built on strong ethics with a real passion for what we do, this is complimented with the testimonials we receive daily. The Manchester office is based in the heart of the city and the team collectively do not just look after Nursing, our Residential and Social Care teams are based here also looking after the same geographical areas as Nursing though predominately the North west. I am very proud to work as part of the Team in Manchester and I am confident in that we will only build on the strength of our relationships with candidate and clients, new and existing, ensuring that we are the ideal recruitment partner to aid the growth our clients organisation and our candidates career and development"

We specialise in the provision of Health and Social Care professionals covering the following roles:

Unqualified - Support Worker, Care Assistant (HCA’s), Senior Support Worker, Drug and Alcohol worker, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager

Qualified – Qualified Social Worker (QSW), Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP), Senior Practitioner, Registered General Nurse (RGN), Community Matron, District Nurses, Nurse Prescribers, Ward Nurses, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN), Prison Nurses, Substance Misuse Nurses.

Working in the community

Meet the team

Jonathan Griffiths – Regional Business Manager
Jonathan Griffiths is the Business Manager of the Manchester branch. He has worked for Randstad since 2007 and has gained various management and business development experience across the different operating companies before joining the Care sector in the beginning of 2013. He currently manages a team of 6 staff which he is looking to expand due to growth and market demand.

Louise Lane – Section Manager of Nursing
Louise joined Randstad in early 2013 having previously worked as a Recruitment Consultant and also in the healthcare industry as a support worker. Louise specialises in recruiting Community Psychiatric Nurses in posts within the public sector in the North West Region. Louise prides herself on the strong relationships which she continues to develop with her Clients and Candidates, which has led to her running a busy successful desk.

Laura Vickers – Nursing Consultant
Laura has been with Randstad since April 2014. With a strong background in sales Laura wanted to venture into the world of Recruitment. Joining Darren Logue as Nursing consultant Laura has already shown great enthusiasm towards the role and looks forward to broadening her knowledge and skills to become a successful consultant.

Lee Nicklin - Support Work Consultant
Lee came into contact with Randstad as he was a client! He was so impressed with the process that he decided to join. He worked as an internal recruiter for a care company taking on support workers to work with vulnerable adults. Now he is a consultant and it is his job to recruit support workers to work with our clients who are based all over the North West. "Its a busy role but I love my job. I'm actually a support worker myself at weekends so this is something which is second nature to me".

Rachael Pilkington - Nursing Consultant
Rachael was employed by a private company in 2008 which specialised in Children’s Services as an Office Junior; she departed from the company 6 years later as a Senior HR Officer with having gained a qualification in Human Resources and experience in Employee Relations and Internal Recruitment. Rachael joined Randstad Care in October 2014 and was assigned to the Nursing division (Mental Health) which sources roles for Qualified Mental Health Nurses who will work within an in-patient or Community setting (Community Psychiatric Nurses) to support people with a range of mental health illnesses or mental distress such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression or dementia. Rachael resources roles for these Nurses throughout Midlands and Yorkshire.

Gemma Foster - Nursing Consultant
Gemma joined Randstad in March 2015 after being referred by a previous colleague of hers as being a great place to work! Before joining Randstad she worked for Adecco where I worked as an On-Site Consultant recruiting for contact centre staff and being part of the HR function for her client. She now works in the Manchester office of Randstad and works within the Nursing division of Care. She started Randstad Care as a Resourcer and outside of work enjoys socialising with friends and going to the gym regularly.

Ben Deuchar - Senior Consultant
Ben has been in Social Care Recruitment for seven years; and at Randstad for one of these years. He joined from one of Randstad's close competitors and he finds the contrast stark. Here at Randstad we are given the freedom to build trusting relationships with our Clients and Candidates in a way that suits both, rather than a one size fits all approach. "I really enjoy the cut and thrust of the Social Care sector where something genuinely new happens every day".

Natasha Hopkins - RGN/Community Specialist and Branch Trainer
Natasha started her recruitment career 10 years ago working for a start up agency providing Nursery Nurses on an ad hoc basis. She then moved to work in a more established organisation, gaining valuable skills by attending numerous training courses provided by her employer. She then went on to working in a more specialist field sourcing temporarily and permanent Secretaries and PA's.  Since then and for the last 6 years, Natasha has worked within healthcare and across a number of disciplines within it such as Social Work and Mental Health within both private and public organisations and dealing with contract and ad hoc bookings. Natasha has now settled into the Nursing industry concentrating solely on Community and District Nursing and is thoroughly enjoying being part of a successful and growing team here at Randstad Care Manchester.

Testimonials

“I would like to thank Louise massively for all the help and encouragement she has given me since joining Randstad as a CPN. From giving me the times of trains when I first visited Randstad to being completely supportive when my new contract started. Louise is extremely friendly and approachable, calm in manner and always smiling and positive. Louise is efficient and professional and nothing seems a trouble to her. She is truly a great asset to anyone's reputation who employs her. I have enjoyed all interaction with Louise and see her as a steady and fixed anchor point for myself with the Agency.”
Irene, Community Psychiatric Nurse.

“Natasha & I have been working together since late 2013. Having worked with several other social work recruitment agencies, I have been impressed by Natasha's professionalism, her integrity and her 'can do' attitude, alongside a friendly and efficient persona. I have no hesitation in recommending Natasha - she delivers what she promises and is a pleasure to work with.”
Jane, Qualified Social Worker.

“Darren has supported me with the services I manage by providing me with staff who have the right skills to deliver and meet the service needs. This has been very beneficial to patients and to our permanent staff who were working with reduced capacity.

Darren is efficient, professional and supportive, I would and have recommended him to other service managers and he has also supported them with their needs. Darren has also supported me by directing me to another colleague of his to support with administration needs in a service, this is still on-going.

Darren is in regular contact to support me with the staff he has registered and actively recruits staff which we need once we have been provided the details. Darren responds efficiently and effectively to any queries or needs I have to provide cover for the service.”
Maureen, Locality Service Manager, NHS Trust

“My colleagues, Lorraine Hodson, Sharon Woods and myself are writing to express our thanks for the support that we have received over the last few months from Darren Logue in terms of finding us suitable nurses to work within Community Nursing within the Halton and St Helens Locality of Bridgewater Community Health care trust.  Darren is always extremely polite, approachable and helpful and always keeps us up to date on progress in finding us suitable staff.  He is a credit to your organisation and we all felt that this should be recognised by his manager.”
Mary, Clinical Services Manager, NHS Trust

"I am writing to you to just pass on my gratitude and also positive feedback from my interactions with Rachael recently after she contacted me.

I met Racheal at your Manchester office and straight away she made me feel at ease and was a joy to deal with. She was pleasant and well informed and assisted me patiently through the forms and and the processes needed to enrol with Ransted. She went out of her way to assist me and was very patient and generally the person you would like to meet when you attend any office, at no point did she make me feel ill at ease.

I have recommended a number of people to Rachael on the basis of that first meeting and also her interactions over the phone and email. I would say she is an asset to your company and her pleasant, cheerful demeanor makes any interaction with her a pleasure."
David Parry, In-Reach Community Mental Health Nurse

"We are in a much better place with vacancies thanks to your consistency in providing us with candidates. You will be our first contact in the future should we need further candidates."

Her ability to be to be organised has ensured I was regularly and sufficiently updated on any issues. I would not hesitate in recommending Charlene to anyone."
Frances Russell, Registered Manager

"After being unsatisfied with my previous line of work, I decided to upload my CV on some websites. Charlene Reynolds from Randstad Care managed to find my CV and invited me to work for the NAS, after reading of my previous charity work. Over the next few weeks charlene helped me start my new career with the National Autistic Society. She worked fast and constantly kept me updated. I would recommend Randstad Care to anyone who is looking for a career that is rewarding."
Kieran Bird, NAS

"Charlene Reynolds is a fantastic recruiter. Her friendly and helpful attitude has shone through immediately and has made me feel very comfortable working with her. Charlene interacts effectively demonstrating a positive attitude and strives to develop good relations with her clients. Right from our first discussion, she has proven a great understanding of my needs and what I was after and was very professional in handling my job requirements.

Her total commitment and support with finding the right job for me and the preparation she put in place to make sure I was successful throughout the recruitment process was outstanding. The personalized advice and attention she has offered before my two interviews have allowed me to feel more at ease and confident before and during my interviews. More than once, Charlene has shown initiative and gone the extra mile to assist with my application. Charlene has shown determination and consistency in communicating with me from day one. She possess great technical knowledge and skills not only in finding great job opportunities but also in sending out clear and straightforward communication messages which have helped me organize all the documents I was required.

Her ability to manage all the available resources shows that she is very qualified and very professional in her job. Charlene understands the different stages of the recruitment process and what is required for each one and is able to advise accordingly.Furthermore, she has shown high working standards and is very punctual and reliable."
Alex Simionescu, Support Worker

"My experience with Randstad and Hayley Lightfoot in particular has been outstanding. I feel like I've been involved in the whole process and kept up to date at all time. I feel  Hayley has been highly  approachable and has answered any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I would also like thank Hayley especially for all her hard work and support."
Aron Cain, Support Worker

"Thanks again for the pre-interview conversation and email, which I found extremely useful. Although you didn't give specifics as to questions and answers (and I'm glad you didn't as I like to rely on my own knowledge and responses!), the advice that you gave to research the company, ensure that I had considered and answered the entire question especially if it is a two-parter, and that it is really important to make sure that I come across genuinely as myself, gave me confidence and helped me focus on the interview in an organised and planned way. Because you had also clearly put a lot of thought into matching the employer with the candidates, I felt that I and the interviewer/recruiter really clicked, and I enjoyed the interview and interaction very much. I felt really positive when I left and, as you know, was subsequently offered the job! Thanks again"
Lorna O'keefe, Support Worker

"The experience of working with you over the past few weeks have been more than useful, as you I have shown interest in me and your pre-talk prior to the interview was a stepping stone.  You have showed the potential to coach people back into work"
James Charles, Support Worker

"I just wanted to write to you in regards to Laura on your team and Randstad. I can honestly say joining Randstad has changed my life – sounds OTT I know but I have gotten my love for nursing back after all those years. The jump from NHS to agency is really a jump in the dark – However, since starting with Randstad in January I have been lucky enough to have Laura as my consultant. I feel supported and in some ways protected – not something I had previously expected from an agency. To know there is someone  at the end of the phone/email to chew over any issues with is so reassuring, the team are always so pleasant. Laura is professional and reliable  -  and I thank every working  day that I am now with Randstad and feel so appreciated for the Work done."
Janet McAlpine, District Nurse
