Working in the Community

Working in the community walks hand in hand with being an ideal recruitment partner for our schools. The Leicester team have been very lucky to have been invited into schools to deliver achievement awards and attend assemblies and fetes. We regularly hold competitions for our schools at key points in the year including Easter, Christmas, Halloween and bonfire night with prize awarding ceremonies thereafter. We have also been involved in sponsorship of large events such as sports days and trips and consider all of these things a very important part of our role.

Our consultants attend NQT fairs and deliver valuable advice on seeking employment through delivery of CV workshops, open days, networking events training courses, interview preparation and full consultation throughout.

Randstad as a company have also recently teamed up with a charity called BEAT to deliver self-esteem, body confidence workshops within secondary schools across the UK to KS3 pupils. As the UK’s leading education specialist we are at the forefront of all market and legislative changes and as such we are able to provide consultation on all of these changes for our schools in individually tailored meetings and seminars. Within the changing landscape of education we are always working hard to support our schools and thrive on innovative and creative ways to do this.

"Through Randstad Education, I have worked almost every day during school term time for the past three years. In that period, I have taught in dozens of schools throughout Leicestershire and have had a positive experience in each and every one of them.

The consultants at Randstad always brief their teachers comprehensively before a school visit is undertaken, and also provide valuable and encouraging feedback to supply staff during or after a spell of work.

The company's staff are totally professional and helpful towards their teachers, and understand and respect the sometimes difficult job we have to do. Consultants are also cheerful and friendly when they contact us, knowing that we enjoy our work and are glad to hear from them.

I have had a great relationship with Randstad Education since joining in 2010. They have placed me in many wonderful schools since that time and I am looking forward to another school year working on their behalf.”
Patrick - Secondary/primary teacher

"I have worked as a supply teacher for Randstad Education for 16 years in that time I have been very happy in my work. The agency has found me regular work so that I have earned enough to raise my family of three children. I have had the right mix of long and short term assignments to suit my needs. The service has always been helpful and professional, providing me with the right information so that I am prepared for each day’s work. The consultants are always friendly and efficient matching my skills with the work opportunities available. They endeavour to place me in the schools I do well in and the schools that frequently request me. By placing me in a small number of schools, along with all the practical things that come from knowing a school, I have been able to develop a good professional relationship with the staff, pupils and parents."
Lance - Primary Teacher

“I have been employed by Randstad Education for the last fifteen years and during this time Randstad has been very helpful with me in giving me lots of work in and around Leicestershire.

All the consultants are very professional, considerate and friendly to approach and they have consistently listened to my requirements and matched me to work accordingly.

I have been very happy with the service Randstad provides to me and would recommend all my friends and colleagues to work for and with Randstad Education who excel in satisfying the needs of employees.

I will continue giving my best services to Randstad Education.”
Tasneem - Nursery Nurse/teaching assistant/learning support assistant

"I joined Randstad Education nearly 4 years ago as supply work suited me due to family commitments.

Randstad introduced me to various types of schools including special needs and this is where I have now been successful in gaining a permanent position.

Randstad provides various training courses in different areas but in particular ‘Team Teach Training’ which has been very beneficial to me.

Marie my consultant has always been very professional and if ever there was query she has resolved this immediately.

I am very happy that I was part of Randstad Education and if I ever wish to return to supply in the future Randstad Education would be my first choice. I also would not hesitate to recommend to others."
Minakshi - Learning support assistant

"I have been working for Randstad Education and its predecessor Select Education for the past eighteen years. During this time I have been extremely satisfied with the service provided and with the professionalism of the staff. My consultants have always been helpful in enabling me to find the right job, and have matched me perfectly with the assignments I have wanted.

I have always found the staff to be friendly, pleasant and they have excelled in providing support and guidance in all aspects of my supply teaching. I very much enjoy working for Randstad, and I am happy to continue with what I regard and recommend as the No1 teaching agency.”
