Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant that loves providing pivotal support to those students who really need it? Do you hold experience working in a 1-1 role? If so, we would love to hear from you!

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a dedicated TA to join a lovely, GOOD Primary School in the Inner City Leeds area on a long term contract basis from as soon as possible, with a view to going permanent. The role will be to mainly support a particular pupil who is visually impaired. The school pride themselves in being a supportive team of employees, who really enjoying encouraging their staff to further their careers and learn new skills constantly. This role will be pivotal to the learning and development of the pupil and is placed in Key Stage 2.

Your new role will include:

* Produce exciting and engaging work displays throughout lessons for the child
* Ensure interaction with the pupil is been met throughout all lessons
* Set up resources and activities for the pupil
* Talk through planning with the teacher to have a clear understanding of expectations
* Provide 1:1 support at the highest standard possible for the pupil
* Share ideas, thoughts, and opinions with the class teachers in regards to lessons and activities
* General administrative tasks and duties to help free up the teachers time
* Communicate effectively with parents to build relationships and report on child's progress
* Monitor and assess the learning path to ensure the pupil is on target

Although the school are open to seeing individuals at all levels in their career in Education, the skills and experiences that would be a huge advantage to this role are:

* Experience of working 1:1 is essential
* Experience working with visually impaired children is essential
* At least 1 year of experience in a primary school
* NVQ Level 2 in a childcare qualification or studying towards
* Can build relationships with pupils and parents
* Has a supportive and nurturing nature
* Seeks positive results and progress with each pupil
* Can tailor learning techniques to different needs
* Reliable and dedicated to the progress of the children
