Are you looking for a long term/permanent position? Do you have previous experience working with children?

The school is a small specialist provision which caters for pupils with emotional and
behavioural difficulties who need a smaller, more structured educational placement in
order to develop their true potential.

The school is set in a pleasant rural location which enables a quiet and nurturing
environment to be created. The school is housed in a detached property over two levels
and has several classrooms including a purpose built classroom for Food Technology.

There is a bright inviting atmosphere to the school with all classrooms being equipped with
modern furniture and resources and with an imaginative and interesting use of children's
work for displays.

The children and young people will be encouraged to take an active role
in contributing to and putting up displays which help foster a pride in both their own work
and in the appearance of their school.

Class sizes are small and are structured to facilitate the implementation of Individual
Education Plans. The plans ensure each student works through a differentiated National
Curriculum programme of study appropriate to their ability and Key Stage.

Responsibilities:

- Communicating with students to encourage learning.
- Supervise a set of work provided by the school.
- Ensure that all students are well behaved and focused on learning.
- Reporting back on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.

Requirements:
- Experience either volunteering or working with children.
- University degree (Please note this is preferred and not essential).
- 1:1 experience is desirable
- Full clean enhanced DBS (on the update service).
- Provide a minimum of two references (one reference must comment on your ability to
work with children)
