Are you an experienced Teacher of Geography seeking an exciting opportunity for the New Year?

Randstad Education are delighted to be supporting a high achieving secondary school in the heart of Bromley in their hunt for an experienced, enthusiastic and inspirational Geography teacher to support the development of the Department from January 2018.

The school has an excellent curriculum in place with a wide range of personalised options. Year 10 and 11 have the opportunity to follow either a traditional academic pathway, however there is opportunity for students to pursue vocational courses for part of their time-table. The array of choices mean that students finish KS4 ready for further study at the school or undertake an apprenticeship elsewhere.

The school sees Geography as 'Education for Life and for Living' - Knowledge whether gained through formal learning or experientially through travel, fieldwork and expeditions - helps everyone to be more socially and environmentally sensitive, informed and responsible citizens and employees.

This permanent/ full time role from January 2018 is suited for both experienced teachers and NQTS, who are committed to teaching at the highest standard, raising the aspirations and achievements of their students.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

* Teaching Geography from KS3 - KS5

* Be able to drive the transition from KS3 to KS4 in developing the subject

* Providing engaging and interactive lessons for students

* Managing behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy

* Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events.

To be considered for this position all applicants must have the following:

* PGCE (Geography) & Good first Degree

* UK QTS

* Relevant teaching experience (must be able to provide at least one competency based teaching reference)

* Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum

* Eligibility to work in the UK
