Are you in the market for a new 12 month contract with one of the worlds biggest companies at their Shotton site?


Will fully contribute to the achievement of team objectives through the flexible and safe deployment of task skills in a teamworking environment based on a principle of continuous improvement.


* Operate processing machinery and material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner and to good standards of workmanship in order to deliver the required levels of customer service.
* Recognise relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing.
* Understand and implement maintenance activities to facilitate optimum productivity.
* Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem solving techniques to optimise machine availability.
* Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives.
* Handle all material including checking stock records, labelling and storing according to commercial requirements and Panels and Profiles policy.
* Be actively involved in own personal development plans to maximise performance in the role and the contribution to succession requirements of the business.
* Impart knowledge of processes and activities to others in a structured and formal manner to support the team's operational and development objectives.
* Ensure that own and team operations, including those undertaken on the Company's behalf by third party service providers, are conducted in manner which fully complies with Panels and Profiles health and safety, quality, environmental and corporate policies.
* Where required, contribute to team level annual operational and financial budgets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed work programmes.
* Ensure the organisation of stocks, and appropriate records, to maintain optimum productivity and safety.

Qualifications & Experience

The business is looking for specific skills in the following areas;

Press Operatives who are fully trained and familiar in working within a fabrications environment

1 Rollforming Production which involves experience of leading a multi-staged production process
2 Composite Panel Operatives although with specific requirements.
3 Loading and Material Control Team - Experience of the operation of heavy mobile plant within an industrial environment.

* In addition to the above skilled roles, we also require "production assistants" to enable the operations to function effectively.
* In general terms, we are ideally looking for people from a similar (steel processing) background. The ability to demonstrate qualities of flexibility, an ability to adapt, initiative, drive and commitment.
* The ability to work safely under pressure and to tight timescales
* Good all round education with strong numeracy, literacy, IT skills, with strong mechanical aptitude and spatial intelligence
