An opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful contractor in the Cambridge region, initially based on a £10M+ new build in South Cambs

As a main contractor who has had a particularly busy work winning period and has been established for over 40 years, this constructor has built a reputation for excellence and worked with some of the region's most high profile Clients and is on a number of Framework agreements.

Working across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, industrial, education, historic/listed and education, the opportunity to progress your career with a fantastic business could be around the corner.

There is no such thing as a typical project. They build innovative, architecturally interesting and award winning projects ranging from £5M to £60M, they place great emphasis on development, encouraging CPD events, chartership (MCIOB/RICS) and like to promote from within

Reporting in to a Senior QS, you will be working as part of the site team, driving the project through to successful delivery.

Duties will include assisting the more senior QS with:
Preparation of sub-contract accounts
Making applications for payment
Input into progress reports/CVRs
On-site measures/Remeasures
Building good supply chain relationships
Negotiating of final accounts

The Successful Candidate
* Will ideally have a BSc/HNC Quantity Surveying or be undertaking current studies
* Will have a minimum of 2 years practical experience working on new build projects
* You will have experience of working for main contractors, preferably on D&B projects
