Facilities Assistant - Immediate start - £9.34p/h

Time Central, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1

* Shift patterns - 07.30am - 15.30pm OR 09.30am - 17.30pm
* Salary £9.34 per hour - Paid weekly every Friday

Your responsibilities include:

* Consumable stock management, ordering and physically delivering stationery, newspapers, keys, office furniture, milk and catering supplies, ensuring stock is rotated to avoid waste.
* Data input and management of stationery database ensuring information is updated accurately and stocks are managed.
* Changing printer/waste toners, replenishing copier paper and other supplies.
* Manual handling work to conduct office churn; relocating furniture such as pedestals, chairs, desks and storage units. Dismantling and building aforementioned furniture, supplying Staff name plates and updating floor plans.
* Setting up meeting rooms multiple times daily in various styles such as theatre, boardroom, default and providing equipment such as flipcharts on request and arranging air con and cleaning requirements for events.
* Knowledge of archive system and process, able to archive new items and recall archives as requested ensuring accurate records are maintained throughout. Able to physically collect/deliver archive boxes around the office. Able to help customers with document retention enquiries.
* Setting up new scanning jobs with our outsourced vendor.
* Manage Vendors onsite ensuring new vendors are inducted properly, tasks are completed to specification and sign process followed.
* Physically collect and box up documents for scanning and accurately monitor documents to ensure no documents are lost in the process.
* Mailroom - Able to work as part of a team on a rota basis to physically sort and where required open incoming mail to ensure the mail is delivered to the correct recipient 1st time right.

EXPERIENCE required:

* Previous experience working within a Facilities environment ideally two or more years' experience and hold BIFM FM qualification level 2, 3 or above.
* Experience in delivering a consistently high level of customer service.
* Experience liaising with 3rd party service vendors.
* Adaptable and able to deal with the changing needs of the business.
* Experience in problem solving using initiative.
* Computer Literate
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Skype for business
* High level of attention to detail.
* Good understanding of Mailroom software packages.
* Basic DIY, carpet fitting, painting and Housekeeping skills.
* Flexible to work overtime and/or weekends as required
