IT Service Desk Manager - Canary Wharf - up to £37,000

An innovative public sector organisation in London is urgently seeking a new IT Service Desk Manager to lead a small team of 1st Line IT Analysts. The focus of this role is on service improvement and performance improvement - leading and managing the existing team to achieve their SLAs, improve their fix rate and deliver a better service to internal customers.

This is a great opportunity for someone to make an immediate impact on the business - there are plenty of "quick wins" and areas where the team can improve with the help of a good Service Desk Manager / Service Desk Lead. In addition the organisation supports a healthy work / life balance through 28 days holiday, flexible working and a 9-5 working day (no shift patterns or out-of-hours work required).

As the successful candidate you must have:

- A strong track record in leaading / managing IT Service desk functions

- A background in service improvement and performance improvement against SLAs

- An understanding of ITIL

- Prior experience of setting change management process and escalation management process

- Excellent communication skills and motivation skills

You will be rewarded with a package that includes:

- Basic salary of circa £32,000 to £37,000

- 10% Pension

- 28 days holiday

- Flexible working

- A good work / life balance (this role is 9-5 with no shift patterns or 24 hour cover)
