Facadres Manager - Permanent Opportunity - Kent

Position: Site Manager / Façade Manager

Location: Central Kent

Pay rate: £Neg depending on experience

The company:

A national contractor delivering high and low rise high quality homes for developers and housing associations across the country. Currently there are 23 projects underway in the South of England and another 4 due to go live in the next 12 months.

The project:

A new build high-rise development delivering 200+ high specification new homes with a host of occupant facilities, along with commercial and retail outlets to the ground floor.

The role of Façade Package Manager / Façade Manager:

You will be responsible for the overall technical coordination of the external envelope construction process in conjunction with the project's Senior Management team providing the link between design and contractors to ensure the project objectives and programme are achieved.

Duties:

* Review design drawings for build-ability and compliance.
* With the Design Manager, manage the flow of subcontractors design detail.
* Agree contractors lead programme and short-term programmes.
* Manage changes to engineering design and budget requirements.
* Review contractor safety plans.
* Maintain contractors awareness of their contractual obligations.
* Monitor and inspect subcontractor operations to identify risk and opportunity along with maintaining safe systems of work.
* Review performance against programme.
* Attending subcontractor review meetings and client contract reviews.

About you:

To succeed in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate to following:

* Skills and experience of the façade construction processes.
* Knowledge of managing various cladding systems and curtain walling.
* Competence to perform due diligence of design detail and specification compliance.
* Motivation to push performance, drive standards and motivate your workforce.
* Current CITB, Site Safety Plus and First Aid certifications.
