Are you looking for a new role as a Senior Chassis Engineer? Do you want to work for a British automotive company that manufactures sports cars and racing cars? If the answer is yes, this role is for you!

The Chassis Engineer will be required to support the current engineering team manager to deliver technical solutions to issues identified during the manufacture and customer usage. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to play a key role and to work for an industry leader!

Objective of the Role

Design support of vehicle chassis subsystems of components:

* Support for BOM including mass information
* Problem resolution and detailed engineering design utilising internal departments and suppliers as appropriate
* Creation of CAD models, component drawings, assembly drawings, exploded views, installation drawings and data packs including updates to FMEA's and DVP's to support issue resolution in accordance with the quality acceptance standards.
* Support to "fit and function" evaluation of subsystem components
* Support to performance testing of subsystem components and collation of test results
* Support to assembly line and build concern resolution

Support to the department:

* Support to the generation of planning and proposal information if required
* Support to the department in achieving the requirements of quality systems approval both internal and external

Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)

* HNC or equivalent in mechanical Engineering/automotive Engineering
* Technical knowledge which covers the specification and delivery of chassis related parts
* Proficient in the use of CATIA V5
* Design role in an Automotive OEM
* Enthusiasm, communication and presentation skills
* Office based with occasional visits to suppliers and test facilities
* Short and long haul travel may be required in order to support project needs, frequency to be agreed between Project Manager and the Engineer
