One of the largest developers in London is looking for a new Technical Manager to join their growing team. This is to work on a couple of large residential projects, currently at preconstruction stages. The ideal candidate will be responsible to complete the planning application for these projects, which will then be passed on to the delivery team.

The residential projects will not be construction until 2020/2021 therefore experience working on pre construction projects is essential for this position. These projects, some consisting of a 1000 units, will be built in various phases around London.

The ideal candidate will be someone some an engineering background, who has worked on contaminated land/ remediation issues on contaminated grounds from conception to completion. You will be required to know the various requirements and processes needed when dealing with land contaminated by previous industrial use.

This is a head office based role, which is based just south of the river (London).

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Report to the Technical Director
* Check all drawings and details for accuracy and correctness
* Liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met.
* Attend and arrange meetings in order to solve issues that arise during the construction process
* Ensure that new regulation and legislation requirements are followed
* Ability to recognise potential issues and implement strategies or overcome them
* Ensures company's standard of service is upheld at all time
* Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, consultants and contractors
* Develop the pre-construction programme
* Hold and attend management meetings


* Strong experience working for a developer from pre-con stages
* Must have experience working with remediation/ contaminated land and can demonstrate skills set
* Confident with excellent communication skills
* Effective management of the team and other stakeholders
* Ability to optimise projects
* Ambitious and strive for delivery
