Role: Commercial Gas Engineer (Mobile)

THE COMPANY:

Commercial Gas Engineer required to join a Top 10 UK Facilities Maintenance company to work on a Mobile Healthcare contract in the East Midlands.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

The successful candidate will have the following:

* A minimum of at least 3 years relevant post apprenticeship experience in an FM or building services maintenance position.
* Knowledge of building services, i.e.: LPHW systems, CWS systems, VAV's, Fan coil Units, fire alarm systems (for testing purposes), AHU's, boilers first fix etc.
* Understanding of asset management principals and maintenance techniques.
* Experience of operating a management system i.e. ISO 9001:2000, 14001, 18001.
* A pro-active attitude.
* Excellent communication skills including verbal and the written word.
* The ability to form relationships with clients and to exceed customer expectation.
* Approachable demeanour and a demonstrable commitment to team working.
* A commitment to continuing professional development.
* Willing to partake in all building services disciplines
* DBS clearance

QUALIFICATIONS:

* BMP1 Boosters, Medium Pressure
* CCN1 core domestic gas safety assessment criteria- ng
* CDGA1 commission service repair & breakdown of commercial direct fired heating appliances & equipment - NG & LPG
* CENWAT install exchange service repair breakdown and commission domestic central heating/hot water boilers,
* CIGA1 commission service repair & breakdown of commercial indirect fired heating appliances & equipment - NG & LPG
* CODNCO1 changeover domestic natural gas to commercial NG
* CONGLP1PD changeover domestic natural gas to domestic LPG - permanent dwellings
* CONGLP1RPH changeover domestic natural gas to domestic LPG - residential park homes
* CORT1 commission service repair & breakdown of gas fired commercial overhead luminous radiant plaque & radiant tube heaters - NG & LPG
* CPA1 combustion performance analysis NG + LPG
* DAH1 install exchange service repair breakdown and commission domestic gas fired ducted air heaters of rated input not exceeding 60kw - NG & LPG
* ICPN1 installation of commercial pipework (first fix) - NG & LPG
* TPCP1A testing & purging of low pressure commercial pipework not exceeding 1m3 in volume, 21 mbar operating pressure - NG

FUNCTION:

* To support their line manager and the other members of the team in the delivery of the existing FM contracts.
* This will be achieved via the practical implementation of the company's management system and the utilisation of the candidate's knowledge and experience.

DIRECT REPORTS:

The operative shall report to the operations manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To ensure the satisfactory performance and further development of all tasks for which he/she is responsible including:

* Compliance with contractual requirements.
* Client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
* Responsibility for the undertaking and execution of all operations under their remit and reporting directly to
* Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery
* Ensuring the company systems are implemented in a manner, which fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
* Ensuring, demonstrate, review and monitor compliance, to meet the expectation and needs of the Client, the quality and organisational goals of the company and satisfy the requirements of BS EN IS0 9001:2000
* Monitoring and professional oversight of works as directed by their line manager to ensure satisfactory quality levels.
* Developing the competency of themselves through a commitment to continuing professional development.
* To maintain a driving licence to remain mobile allowing travel between sites.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

* Salary will be negotiable and agreement will be dependant on qualifications and experience.
* 30 Days holidays including bank holidays.
* Hours of work will normally be Mon - Fri: 08.00 - 17.00 although this may be varied from time to time depending on the needs of the company.
* A company vehicle will be provided.
* Payment for participation in a 24 hour 7 day per week on call service will be made. Call out is 1 in 6/7.
* A Full driving licence.
