Our charitable residential school for young people with learning disabilities is a fantastic place to start and develop your career. We support up to 30 children in over 6 houses with full care and educational needs provided for- this is a great opportunity to embrace your calling in life! What are your responsibilities?

* Promoting health and well being
* Encouraging independence through life choices and teaching core values
* Safeguarding and looking after students in all environments in line with their care plans
* Working with medical staff, physiotherapists and social workers towards objectives set out
* Supporting with personal care needs as outlined in each individual's care plan

What is required?

* Full-time availability to do 7am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm shifts (including weekend working)
* A full DBS check - if you don't have a DBS then you must be willing to undergo one
* Driving experience and a valid license
* A hard working, enthusiastic and lively manner - our children want role models!

Children with disabilities require the best care so they can have a chance in life. If you are excited about this opportunity but are unsure or a bit scared about taking on the responsibility, our training induction and 12 week trial period will ensure that you can try this without pressure.

You'll have full support and mentoring from our team of caring and experienced staff so you can maximise these young people's progression in life.

We'll help you, reviewing after 4 and 8 weeks to ensure you are happy - at the end of the day, it's the children's happiness that we're here for!
