Do you have previous experience working as a Traffic Supervisor or Coordinator? Do you have knowledge of Health and Safety and traffic management? Look no further!

We are looking for a Traffic Supervisor to join a National recycling, renewable energy and waste management organisation based in South East London, Crayford area on a permanent basis. Our client operates over 320 different facilities across the UK.

You would be assisting in the day to day operational activities and carry out instructions issued by the Production Manager and Quality Manager to ensure the site operates within all Health and Safety and Environmental Guidelines.

You would be responsible and supervising Traffic Coordinators and Yard Cleaners around the area.

Job duties:

*Actively manage the flow of traffic onsite
*Review all incoming materials in line with permit requirements and specific site input specifications
*Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy and all litter is collected as appropriate
*Regulate the flow of incoming and outgoing vehicles as per Traffic management plan and Safety operating procedures
*To instruct and supervise visiting drivers about the procedures in place for tipping materials, to visually inspect all incoming materials, undertaking non-conformances and downgrades as per the Site Quality Check Plan
*The supervision of all cleaning staff, including the yard sweeper focussing on them performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behaviour whilst on duty
*To comply with all safety instruction and procedures, reporting any unsafe practices, accident's or incidents


*Good knowledge of plant and machinery relevant to waste recycling and recovery
*Good knowledge of H&S regulation and safe systems of work
*Good knowledge of hand signals related to traffic management
*Previous experience in a similar operational role or environment
*Experience in traffic management
*FULL UK driving license
*English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
*IOSH Managing Safely
