Job Responsibilities and Duties:

* Provide manufacturing engineering support for process alignment, product introduction & asset utilisation projects throughout IPSD
* Successfully introduce and implement new/existing products into full production
* Produce global manufacturing engineering standards
* Planning and coordinating the procurement, installation and capability of new manufacturing facilities, controls and related equipment, ensuring latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and economy of operations ensuring delivered within time and budgetary targets
* Be directly involved in the resolution of quality defects, utilising root cause analysis, 8D and other 6 Sigma tools as necessary
* Apply techniques for determining work balance within workstations and adjoining processes using appropriate tools and technologies
* Work with external suppliers to design equipment, buy off new equipment, and approve specifications for modification of equipment
* Participate fully in Quality Management Systems and manufacturing APQP activities e.g. developing Process Flow's, PFMEA's, Standard Work Documentation, Control Plans etc…
* Be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Manufacturing planning and executions systems and enhancements

Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a Technical Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
* The candidate must have previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer developing and implementing process/assembly solutions within a medium volume production environment
* Demonstrated manufacturing engineering project management experience including implementation of complex and technically challenging projects
* Experience of implementing Lean manufacturing tools and techniques, utilising problem solving and root cause analysis tools
* Experience of introducing new products and/or managing significant change within the manufacturing environment
* Understanding of Product Life Cycle Management concepts and their application in the area of Mechanical Design, Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Routings, Product change/ configuration management and collaborative product & process development
* Experience of engine assembly/testing, robot automation installation and/or programming, developing and implementing Engine paint systems and processes
* Industry knowledge and/or experience of deploying Industry 4.0 methodologies (machine connectivity/learning, data analytics, digital manufacturing, cobots, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed reality solutions etc..)
* Experience of working in Enterprise Resource Planning systems e.g. MFGPro, SAP, Product Lifecycle Management systems e.g. Teamcenter, Delmia. 3D Modelling or 2D CAD experience
* Experience of using Discrete Event Simulation software such as Plant Simulation, Witness, Factor/AIM
* Experience of working with Manufacturing Execution Systems either maintaining, developing and/or implementing
