Can you commit to a minimum of 4 weeks? This is a temporary position starting ASAP, working Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 17.00 and Friday from 08.30 to 16.30. As an estates and housing officer you will be responsible for the day to day management of communal areas. Your role will involve carrying out regular checks to maintain a safe and clean environment in the buildings/surrounding areas. Your main responsibilities will include;
*Undertaking health and safety checks to ensure compliance
*Removing any litter/rubbish from communal areas and ensuring they are kept to a clean standard, including at times minor or emergency cleaning
*Monitoring and promptly reporting any servicing or repairs and assisting with these where possible
*Testing and recording of all alarm, pull cord and safety equipment
*Maintaining all records in line with compliance
*Liaising with other departments to ensure repairs and maintenance are carried out
*Adhering to specific health and safety policies
*Other duties as required

Skills and attributes;
*Experience of working within housing is desirable
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to maintain accurate records
*Good computer skills, including MS Office and databases
*Outstanding customer service
*There will be times when you will have to deal with difficult of challenging situations, therefore experience of conflict resolution is essential
*Very flexible attitude
*Must have a full driving license
*You will be required to have an enhanced DBS

It is possible that you will be required to work very occasional evenings and weekends, you will also be required to have a reasonable level of fitness for this role as there will be a lot of standing and lifting
