This is a new role to form part of a Group IT Senior Leadership Team. It's a hands on role, with responsibility for managing a small team of BI developers, defining a new strategy and road map to develop and transform the Business Intelligence capability of the organisation. There is a need to increase insight across the group - a full assessment of current capabilities will be followed by developing a new, modern, fit for purpose strategy aligned to their new MS technology stack, including; PowerBI, SSRS/SSAS/SSIS and Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory).

Key responsibilities:-

* Design and deliver new BI & Data Group strategy
* Provide line management to two BI developers/analysts
* Partner with operational business areas to optimise use of data and reporting services
* Develop and Manage 3rd party relationships, leveraging expert outside expertise
* Deliver small, medium and large projects, centred around Data and BI across the group


PowerBI, SQL, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, SSRS/SSAS/SSIS

Required experience:-

* Experience of growing, running and developing a high performing BI team
* Significant experience across a range or BI tools and technologies (ideally including PowerBI)
* Strong stakeholder management experience - both internal and external
* Structured, planned and well documented approach to delivering new solutions
* Proven innovator - adopting new industry standards
* Inspirational leadership qualities - able to inspire and motivate teams
