-£23,000 - £28,000 DOE

Supporting the Finance Business Partners who work within the Logistics Division, this relatively new team is striving to improve performance across the division by providing in depth analysis and supporting data to allow accurate and relevant decision making.

This new role will perform preparation and reconciliation of data and analysis in support of the Finance Business Partners for the South West Region of the Logistics Division.


* Support the Finance Business Partners in preparation of detailed operational analysis and variance interrogation.
* Support the Finance Business Partners in the collation and checking of monthly forecasts.
* Assist in the month end accounting process, to produce accurate and timely management accounts, in line with business timescales.
* Support, review and challenge business performance.
* Communicate effectively with staff at Logistics Units to ensure integrity of database and operational information.
* Act as escalation point for routine queries to ensure that they are resolved in an accurate and timely manner.
* Undertake data entry and reconciliation activities, ensuring that data entered in systems is accurate and complete.
* Ensure adherence to organisation's financial controls and approval processes
* Undertake additional or amended duties as appropriate to the post as may be required from time to time.

We are looking for someone who is able to work as a part of a close and functional team, with a keen eye for detail. You should be willing to question and challenge operational practices and cost management. The role demands a high level of Microsoft Excel and database interrogation skills. The ability to produce and effectively communicate data and analysis is essential. An understanding of the waste or logistics industry would be most beneficial. Ideally, someone with or working towards an accountancy qualification would be viewed favourably.


* Financial and analytical experience
* Experience of working in a Finance role, ideally supporting multi-site operations
* Ideally, AAT Qualified or working towards
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
