Hours of work and Salary

* Monday - Friday
* 37.5 hours PER WEEK
* 08:45AM to 05:00PM
* £23,000 to £25,000 PER YEAR

Responsibilities:

The role of the Assembly Quality Technician is to carry out goods inwards inspection of all products and function test of electronic medical devices to inspect the internal build quality. Assembling and disassembling of devices, soldering and ability to communicate non-conformance.

* Goods inwards inspection and functional testing of all products received from manufacturer
* Disassemble and reassemble one of out ten products received using hand tools and soldering techniques
* Raise and report non-conforming products detected
* Inspect and function test products following operating procedures
* Communicate findings via email and reports
* Soldering of electronic equipment
* Testing medical devices by using basic test equipment e.g. measurement meters, voltage, current, temperature, mechanical measurement etc.

Requirements:

* Experience in a quality role
* Experience of electro-mechanical assemblies and/or devices manufacturing
* PC literate, experienced in Office 365 and internet applications.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions closely.
* Ability to record and communicate findings from tests performed
* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment or similar.
* Hands on experience of assembly and disassembly of electro mechanical/medical devices
* Soldering experience
* Desired: Qualification or experience of soldering to IPC standard
* Desired: Background or experience of electronic components

This is a temporary role for 6 months with a great chance of becoming permanent.
