A well known SEMH school is looking for a Maths leader to help support the Maths department in maintaining and developing their department. Experience within SEMH is essential. You will support the secondary department a well as liaising with the primary department to ensure that the curriculum is accumulated over the year groups.

Your role will include:


* To be responsible for the assessment, recording and reporting of student achievement within your designated subject/s.
* To ensure that appropriate and challenging work is available for your teaching groups in the event of your absence.
* To maintain regular and effective positive communication with parent/carers and stakeholders
* To contribute to the development and implementation of the school's behaviour management system

Skills required for this role:


* Experience of developing and implementing some whole school policies within the subject area.
* Ability to set targets in the subject area using NC levels and GCSE grades.
* Ability to provide subject leadership across the keystage(s).
* Experience of ensuring that the learning environment is safe and that risks are adequately assessed.
