We are looking for a bright, diligent and enthusiastic Head of Learning Centre to manage a brilliant specialist college for adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Some of your responsibilities will include:
-Managing the department team, including daily organisation, timetabling and monitoring, mentoring and training
-Carrying out performance reviews of staff
-Responsibility of departmental budgets for agency staff, learning resources and staff development
-Planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of 4 contact (teaching) sessions weekly, including 1 evening
-Establishing and maintaining external relationships
-Planning, co-ordination and implementation of training if required

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Qualified Teacher Status in Lifelong learning
-Significant experience of outstanding/good teaching of students who have learning disabilities
-Successful experience of management responsibility
-The ability to plan and lead curriculum initiatives
-The ability to manage, direct and monitor a number of teaching teams
-The ability to manage departmental budgets
