Are you an experienced finance officer looking for immediate temporary work? Can you commit to a minimum period of 3-6 months possibly longer? Please read on for full details on this immediate temporary job;

Your main role as a finance officer is to provide financial management support to the head of housing finance with an emphasis on;
*Housing Development scheme viability assessment
*Monitoring capital/revenue expenditure against approved budgets and reconciliation of rent accounting
*Monitoring housing property records, including rent levels, providing business object reports as required

On a day to day basis you will be;
*Reviewing and challenging the viability of new build scheme appraisals
*Providing technical financial support to the new build team, including scheme costing, rent assessment and financial assumptions
*Monitoring annual new build spend against agreed budgets and investigate any variances
*Maintaining the new build programme information for inclusion in the HRA business plan, including unit mix, rents, costing detail and scheme timings
*Monitoring right to buy information on sold properties, including the allocation of one for one receipts against new build schemes
*Producing statistical information on property detail as required, including annual reports
*Managing the annual rent & service charge setting process, including rent increase notifications to tenants
*Maintaining a database of leaseholders and private sewerage supplies including cost records and agreed charges
*Updating financial procedures in relation to property and new build development
*To support with other duties as determined by the head of housing finance

Skills and experience required;
*Customer focused, able deal with both internal and external customers
*Good IT skills, proficient with Word and Excel
*Able to demonstrate ability to produce business reports
*Minimum of AAT qualified with at least 3 years of practical experience
*Ideally some experience in managing property databases and rent setting
*Knowledge of property development would be an advantage

This is a temporary job based i the heart of Winchester. You will have free access to the park and ride facility, however no parking is available on site.
