Fantastic opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a well-established public and private sector water team based in Dublin!!!

A leading consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to be responsible for the preparation of Civil/Site Drawings, supporting Calculations and Specifications. You will coordinate the flow of technical documents (requisitions, drawings, specifications, calculations) between interfacing engineering disciplines. You will be responsible for water and wastewater infrastructure in Ireland, with activities including: flood defences, dams, water supply, water treatment plants, pumping stations, pipe networks, sewerage, wastewater treatment, and outfalls.

* Responsible for the preparation and successful completion of all Civil/Site deliverables
* Produce technical calculations to high standards of quality using current computer software
* Prepare technical specifications
* Review work produced by others to ensure timely and accurate results
* Complete performance evaluations for those assigned
* Ensure compliance of design with all applicable standards and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract
* Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
* Conduct surveys, studies, site investigations
* Provide field support for construction, particularly in the deployment and maintenance of erosion and sediment control features
* Recommend and prepare technical papers
* Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule
* May assist Section Supervisors with other administrative and technical duties


* You will have a degree in Civil Engineering, or have a similar qualification
* Knowledge of water, wastewater, flood risk and highways drainage projects
* Experience of working on water engineering or similar civil engineering projects
* Excellent working knowledge of AUTOCAD
* Ideally, you will have a full driving licence
* Ideally, you will have membership of Engineers Ireland, ICE, CIWEN or other recognized professional institutions
* Preferably, you will have a working knowledge of FIDIC, NEC or Public Works Contracts
