Electrical Design Engineer - Water

An Electrical Design Engineer with experience in the water treatment / process environment is required to work for a MEICA delivery contractor on a major water treatment network.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer

* Carry out quality assessment of the design works to ensure that at the design stage of the project, risk assessment in accordance with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulation was taken into consideration.

* Coordinate and liaise with site supervisors regarding the installation process, also building relationships with the client organisation, particularly service delivery.
* Maintain an interest in costing and the tendering of additional works.
* You will be involved in a variety of projects with a view to optimising and reducing the energy consumption at a site.
* Review of existing design of all electrical system, inputting reports to client management.
* Development of conceptual design.
* The production of engineering design and detail in accordance with the Supplier's quality management system.
* Assisting with the appointment of sub-contractors

Requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer:

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or other relevant subject with experience in water industry and preferably previous experience in the design of water / waste water treatment plants and water / waste water networks.
