I am looking for an art teacher with QTS for a SEMH school near Worthing. This role is on a fulltime, permanent basis and is due to start September 2019. I am looking for an individual who is very creative and talented as this school caters for students with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties. This school is a tough setting and students can be very spontaneous and aggressive at times, however, a lot of students are very hands-on and creative when it comes to ART and is a real way for them to express themselves.

Job responsibilities:
* Confident to teach the national curriculum up to college level
* Effectively utilise the teaching assistant in the classroom
* Implement all school policies
* Plan and develop lesson plans for all students
* Help any student to overcome their barriers to learning
* Working with teaching assistant to put into place E.H.C.P
* Management of the lesson content, the classroom and support for students
* Be responsible to enhance student development
* Create a fun learning environment
* Understand the needs of individual pupils and flex your style to best suit them

Ideal candidates will have the following:
* Must have QTS/QTLS/PGCE qualification
* Must have teacher experience in Mainstream and SEN Education
* Experience with ASD, SEMH, SLD, EBD, ADHD and other behavioural difficulties
* Committed to safeguarding
* Adaptable to work with all ages
* Resilient and thick-skinned
