Job profile:

The EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa), CLAD (Canada and Latin America) and APAC (Asia Pacific) regional Tax departments are part of the Global Tax Department. The regional Tax departments are responsible for advising the business on all aspects of tax, including NIBT, within their region. The Global NIBT Compliance Team provides advice and support to the regional Tax departments on all aspects of NIBT (including VAT) compliance including SOX and statutory compliance, approvals, tax audits and systems. The Global NIBT Compliance Team is also responsible for managing outsourced VAT compliance activities.

The Global NIBT Compliance Team requires a Global NIBT Specialist, reporting to the Senior Director of NIBT Compliance, to analyse and provide information, perform high-level reviews, liaise with outsourcers and, ultimately, to ensure filing and payment of VAT/NIBT returns are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

* To liaise, and develop strong working relationships, with all external NIBT outsourcers;
* As part of the NIBT team, to develop and agree with outsourcers steps in, and timings of, compliance cycle for each NIBT filing;
* To ensure complete and accurate information is provided to outsourcers for NIBT filings;
* To review, approve and action as necessary to ensure that all issues relating to NIBT filings, and all tasks in the compliance process, are completed correctly and on time;
* To manage the filing and payment part of the compliance process for NIBT filings as required;
* To develop and keep technical NIBT knowledge up to date;
* To monitor for changes in legislation affecting NIBT compliance and take action as necessary to ensure the company remains compliant;
* To advise and provide training to outsourcers on the business line, including communicating any changes affecting the NIBT compliance;
* To improve, enhance and standardise NIBT processes through systems and process improvements;
* To take responsibility for NIBT related issues and projects as required;
* To liaise with and provide information as required to Oracle Tax and business colleagues and Tax authorities during internal and external NIBT tax audits;
* To liaise with, and provide assistance and advice to, colleagues in Tax, Finance and the business on NIBT related matters.
* Study in Tax or related exams encouraged.

Requirements:

* Technical knowledge and/or awareness of Non Income Based Taxes, particularly VAT in EMEA, APAC and CLAD regions and minimum of 3 year's experience.
* Knowledge of, or background in Finance and/or IT systems preferred;
* Language skills useful, particularly Spanish;
* Strong numeric and computer skills required, including ability to use Excel effectively;
* Must be able to work on own initiative, but also as part of a team;
* Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills essential;
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines essential;
* Strong inter-personal and written and verbal communication skills required.
