We are delighted to be searching for a Goods In Operative/Storesman working in a busy Automotive facility. This opportunity will combine moving stock by hand, good organisational skills and maintaining a high level of safety standards.

Job Description

* To ensure all deliveries for the stores are received and booked in via our computer systems.
* Heavy lifting/Very hands on approach
* Ensure that the right goods are stored in the right places at the right time
* Excellent attention to detail
* Booking in and taking deliver of goods using the companies computer system.
* Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or counter balance forklift truck
* Checking deliveries and inspecting all items.
* Accuractely recording any issues with the deliver and raising supplier notifications or discrepancy forms
* Arranging Supplier uplifts for damaged stock / Returns
* Paperwork processing
* Safely storing the goods
* Assist with store wide stock takes
* Keeping the store health & safety compliant (as well as clean, tidy and safe)
* Attending staff meetings and relevant training courses
* Communicating with other members of staff in a calm professional manner
* Updating stock register
* Keeping accurate records of stock issue

Experience/Qualifications

* Organisational skills
* A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures
* Experience in the automotive sector
* Counterbalance license (Preferred but not necessary)
* Experience in goods-in inspection
* Liaising with clients/suppliers
