IT Technical Consultant - Uxbridge

An opportunity has arisen for an IT Technical Consultant to join a leading BioTech company based in Uxbridge. The organisation partner and collaborate with companies in the industry, to join forces and deliver projects and services (R&D projects, clinical trials etc). You will operate as a Technical Consultant to deliver integration of systems and software to ensure users in all partner organisations have the necessary access to IT platforms and they are configured appropriately. You will have a broad set of skills across IT (basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, Networks and Applications etc.), Business Analysis (requirements gathering & producing documentation) and some Project coordination/Management skills.

You'll work with external business partners to provide guidance and support for technical queries on a wide range of integrations, deployments, upgrades and customisation projects.

You can expect lots of variety, as each partner solution will have it's individual challenges and nuances. There will be occasional travel to external sites too. You'll need to be comfortable with regular face time with external stakeholders and have the ability to confidentially articulate plans and progress as projects move forward.


- Gather and document requirements, for both internal and external business partners

- Assist with Developing custom IT solutions to support key collaboration services - across COTS applications, Networking and Desktop environments

- Coordinate and Provide technical support to ensure solutions perform effectively

- Own and coordinate IT issue resolution (applications, systems, network connectivity etc)

- Manage communications (outages, maintenance etc.)

- Produce reports on agreed activity
