Our client requires an Instrumentation & Controls expertise, to join their team as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician based at a Biotech client green field site in Dundalk just 30 mins North of Dublin in Ireland.

This global company is China's leading biologics medicine manufacturer and is investing €325 million in a new biopharmaceuticals contract manufacturing facility.

You will join the Instrumentation & Controls team and work with like-minded experts, alongside Mechanical and Electrical teams based on the same site. The facility is state of the art and provides the opportunity to work on new equipment and world class processes. Project is at an early stage of construction within the industry's fastest growing sectors.

Your Job Purpose

Working as an Instrumentation and Controls Technician you will be responsible for the start-up and maintenance of facilities instrumentation and associated controls on both utility and process systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, AHU's, Chillers, Steam Boilers, Water Treatment and Industrial Waste Systems.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible start up and maintenance of facilities instrumentation and associated controls on both utility and process systems.
* These systems include, but are not limited to, AHU's, Chillers, Steam Boilers, Scrubbed Exhausts, Water Treatment and Industrial Waste Systems.
* Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support start-up activities.
* Generation and execution of documentation to support start-up activities on live systems in line with site procedures.
* Generation and execution of start-up checklists, SOP's etc.
* Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner, in compliance with client procedures.
* Work with operations and engineering teams to develop testing protocols and start-up procedures.
* Demonstrate ownership and show initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner in a high paced, schedule driven environment.

Education and Qualifications:

* City & Guilds 225 Parts 1, 2 & 3, or Diploma in Industrial Automation & Controls or Applied Physics and Instrumentation or qualified trade in Instrumentation.

Experience and Skills:

* Minimum 4 years industry experience and must have a Pharmaceutical/Biotech background.
* A good working knowledge of all instrumentation types and industrial Automation / BMS systems
* Excellent troubleshooting skills for a wide variety of instrumentation and PLC systems.
* A working knowledge of HART communication and instrument configuration methods is an advantage, but not a strict requirement as training will be provided.
* Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
* Possess excellent Communication / Documentation and Interpersonal skills.
