Our client is a global off-price retailer operating in Europe, the United States and Canada.

Job Summary

* To lead, coach and develop a team of 3 direct reports and the wider team to provide a talent pipeline for European expansion
* Be an integral member of the Retail Finance Leadership team and people objectives
* Business partner the VP and Country operational managers for our businesses in Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Poland
* Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for selling and management payroll
* Support the provision of analytical support to the Store Operations team to ensure a high standard of financial controls and visibility of key metrics, with a key focus on payroll, with the aim of making the best for business decisions
* Work collaboratively across the Retail Finance team to share learnings, work consistently and leverage all P&L lines
* Ensure high quality processes that can deliver accurate, timely and insightful information in key cost areas

To achieve these the role requires the ability to build relationships and influence peers & store operations. You will need to combine good process, technical & business partnering skills.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver the following through self and team:

* Ensuring high levels of trust in the reporting, communication and forecasting of Selling & Management payroll via the management of robust processes and review
* Hold regular reviews with the Store Operations team to share information, make decisions and deliver the plan
* Identification of Opportunities and Risks and influence business partners in order to impact the outcome
* Delivery core finance processes through your team - including month end, forecasts, budgets and long range planning
* Analytical support to projects and new initiatives
* Encourage knowledge sharing across the team & actively seek to support the development of others

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

* Qualified accountant with line management experience
* Strong relationship building skills & ability to deliver with others
* Curious about the business and drivers of performance
* Can describe complex ideas simply and to non-finance teams
* Able to understand requirements and establish processes and rhythm & routines to deliver through others
* Track record of delivering results to deadlines
* Flexible attitude and forward thinking nature
