Our client requires Mechanical Technicians based at a Biotech client green field site in in Dundalk. You will join the Mechanical team and work with like-minded Mechanical experts alongside a Calibration team based on the same site. The facility is state of the art and provides the opportunity to work on new equipment and world class processes. Project is at an early stage of construction within the industry's fastest growing sectors.

This global company is China's leading biologics medicine manufacturer and is investing €325 million in a new biopharmaceuticals contract manufacturing facility.

Your Job Purpose

Joining our client means you will be responsible for the execution of both Preventative (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) within a highly regulated environment. The maintenance activities will include elastomer change-outs (ECO) on vessels and pipework including seal and diaphragm replacement on pumps and valves. These systems include, but are not limited to, production vessels and associated pipework, high purity water systems (water for injection), clean steam, and chemical delivery systems, etc…


* Carrying out Elastomer change-outs on vessels and associated pipework and equipment. Including Diaphragms, O-rings, gaskets and seals.
* Supporting the development of maintenance routines, both PM and PdM's, for all types of mechanical equipment within a highly regulated environment.
* Interact with the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and execute all PM & CM activities as issued by the system.
* Responsible for assisting with FAT's, SAT's, PSSR's and providing commissioning support where required.

Education and Qualifications

* Minimum Qualification: Level 6 Qualified Mechanical Fitter by Trade.
* MEWP, Confined Space, & BA training beneficial but not essential.
* Training will be provided as required to complete works safely.

Experience and Skills

* 3 years plus experience within a pharmaceutical or biologics background.
* Experience in Elastomer Change Outs or similar (ECO's).
* Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc…
* Possess excellent Communication / Documentation and Interpersonal skills.
* Ability to read and review process and instrumentation drawings (P&ID's)
* Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to follow procedures and create safe, efficient work practices.
* Clean room experience beneficial but not essential.
