Building Services Supervisor

Are you looking for an immediate start? Randstad CPE urgently requires an experienced handyman for a contract based in the Gallowgate area of Aberdeen. The job itself is based on a large static site working for one of the leading FM contractor's within the market.

For this role you must have 2 year minimum experience within a handyman role, facilities management background is preferred but not essential.

* Daily Supervision and allocation of works to a multi-disciplined trades team.
* Management of estates helpdesk requests ensuring tasks are allocated across the available resources, completed within predetermined response times and that the customer is kept appraised of the progress of the work request.
* Ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective first line response to emergencies. Carrying out testing, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical/ mechanical plant and equipment as necessary to support the in-house trade's team.
* Advising the in-house team on maintenance and installation works as required and ensure works are completed to relevant standards.
* Issuing maintenance and minor works to and instructing contractors as required under framework and other maintenance agreements ensuring quality and value for money for works undertaken.
* Participating in procurement processes such as user intelligence groups as necessary to inform procurement strategies.
* Promoting positive working practices and culture that ensure health and safety is given the highest priority.
* Carrying out regular Health and Safety inspections and provide training through tool box talks with staff.
* Undertaking regular audits of work undertaken by the in-house team to ensure appropriate standards are being maintained.
* Ensuring workshops, work areas and plant areas are kept clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times.
* Identifying and immediately reporting any issues relating to Health & Safety or security of engineering systems initiating any corrective measures as necessary
* Identifying potential areas within technical area of expertise where energy saving measures and improvements can be implemented


* Full UK drivers license
* 2 working references from a similar role
