Material Planner required on a contract basis to join an industry leading manufacturing business.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of off highway machine technology? Do you have a background strategically controlling the purchase and supply of components and systems? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the role for you!

As the material planner you will report to the material planning supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring externally sourced material is ordered and available on time at the point of use, to support assembly and component operations, whilst utilising Plan For Every Part (PFEP) data to optimise component inventory levels.

Key responsibilities:

* Ensure that material requirements are scheduled for delivery from suppliers in a quantity and on a date to support our service to customers
* Ensure that deliveries take place on the correct date, in the correct containers, in the quantity specified.
* Initiate, co-ordinate and participate in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels
* Manage and control inventory levels for outgoing parts
* Be involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material
* Perform all tasks to CPS levels of performance

Experience required:

* Previous experience of working with a Material Planning role or supply chain.
* Supplier Management Experience
* Knowledge of MRP
* Experience within a Manufacturing environment
* Excellent Interpersonal Skills
