We are looking for a positive and outgoing Learning Support Assistant to work in a brilliant SEN school that caters for students aged 6-25. The pupils you will be working with have a range of learning difficulties including autism, epilepsy and other neurological conditions. This is a great opportunity to get fully involved in an interactive and practical curriculum and ensure your students are able to become confident and independent individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Assisting students during class by tracking their progress
-Liaising with class teacher so lessons run smoothly
-Enabling learners to access the curriculum
-Supporting the pastoral needs of the learners
-Being an active part in creating a positive learning environment
-Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and part of a small group in a range of activities throughout the day
-Using your interests to engage learners in learning
-Supporting with the students personal care

Key skills and experience needed:
-Experience working with people with special needs
-The ability to work with learners that have various learning difficulties including epilepsy and autism
-An understanding of students with emotional needs
-A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
-The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
-Flexibility in your approach to education.
-Own means of transport
