Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker? Do you have experience of working with Looked After Children? Looking to take on an exciting new opportunity? If so our client wants to hear from you.

Randstad Care is currently recruiting for a fantastic new role for a Social Worker within a Looked after Children's Team on behalf of Lancashire Council. The contract is for 3 months with the strong possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Providing advice, support and information to young people, foster carers, residential workers and others in relation to health matters
* Undertaking individual and group sessions with children and young people to reflect their health needs, ensuring appropriate access to information about smoking, drug taking and sexual health
* Coordinating and carrying out statutory health assessments with individual children and young people as per government guidelines
* Providing training to both foster carers, social workers and health staff in accordance with the health needs, support and advice needed by children and young people in care

In order to be considered for this role, you should have:

* 1 years' experience of working in children's services as a Social Worker
* HCPC registration
* A relevant Social Work qualification
