The ideal candidate will be a qualified Asbestos professional with at least 3-5 years experience within the social housing sector. Role responsibilitiesTo work collaboratively with managers and staff across the organisation and contractors to ensure high standards of asbestos management are maintained.To plan and commission a programme of asbestos management surveys and re-inspections, and to review resulting reports for significant findings.To commission and oversee asbestos removal or remediation projects, as needed on a risk basis.To advise on the asbestos implications of construction-related projects.To develop, implement, deliver and evaluate health and safety training including e-learning on asbestos safety related matters.To develop, implement and monitor health and safety policy, management procedures, systems and guidance across a range of safety critical and statutory areas.
