My client, a leading housebuilder is looking to recruit a Planning Manager, in Sevenoaks. DUTIES INCLUDE:Carry out research on, and proactively monitor, Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan preparation to inform site searches in key target areas.Provide Planning Appraisals of potential development sites that are offered to the CompanyPrepare Local Plan and other representations to local authorities in support of sites under control.Manage submission, content and strategy for processing planning applications, including appeals and s106 agreements where necessaryManage and instruct consultants to an agreed scope of works and budget.Manage the discharge of all pre-start planning conditionsLiaise, consult and negotiate with relevant external organisations, including attendance at public consultation and stakeholder events.Provide advice and assistance to colleagues and trainees on planning matters.REQUIREMENTS:BA/BSc (Hons) Planning Studies and/or postgrad Diploma in Planning StudiesMember of the Royal Town Planning InstituteMinimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience in consultancy or development company, demonstrating site appraisal/negotiation/communication skills and knowledge of development management process.
