The project:
A new build residential development at varying stages of development (groundworks, superstructures and 1st fixing).
The role:
As the Assistant Manager on this new build development you will be responsible for managing the new build housing phase of circa 50 units from pre-plaster through to finals and your role will include:
- Creating short-term look ahead programmes inline with the lead programme set out by the Project Manager.
- Site safety which will include site inductions, checking contractor RAMS, site inspections, tool box talks and issuing permits to work.
- Attending contractor progress meetings.
- Setting up site labour with daily activities.
- Management of subcontractor packages within your section.
- Quality control and ensuring works are delivered to drawing and specification.
- Preparation of units for CML.
This Assistant Site Manager role is ideal for you if:
- Previous experience in a similar position working on projects in excess of £10 million in value.
- Sound technical experience in construction.
- Educated to HND standard in a construction related field or a trade background to NVQ standard.
- Experience of delivering residential projects for a developer.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Relevant and in date CSCS Card along with SMSTS and First Aid.
