job description

Are you looking for an Assistant Technical Coordinator position with the opportunity to work closely with one of the Central London's councils on their 'decent homes' schemes? Do you have comprehensive practical construction knowledge? Are you someone who can communicate clearly with stakeholders about the projects?

My client is currently looking for a strong candidate to join his major works team to assistant the manager and seniors in any pre-construction activities required within the partnership (with the council) for their decent homes schemes. These projects would generally vary between £ 4-7 Million, based in the borough. You will be working closely with other strategic teams in the organisations to challenge the client briefs to ensure the investment needs for any properties are fulfilled.

You will be based in Central London, walking distance from the underground station.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Report to the Technical Surveyor and Commissioning Manager
* Providing the line managers with information for progress monitoring and for the actions that are required on the projects
* Work with the other teams to technically challenge the clients briefs to ensure the investment needs are fulfilled for any properties within the programme
* Investigate and respond to technical 'requests for information' from service providers and resolving problems identified positively
* Work alongside the cost planner to ensure accurate budgets are developed

Requirements:

* Experience working on similar 'decent homes' schemes and knowledge of pre construction processes
* Keenness to learn and further develop their knowledge
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
* Experience of delivering a programme of work in a way that achieves high levels of customer satisfaction
* Have an awareness of costs
* Degree or equivalent (ideally in surveying, construction or engineering)

If you believe you would be the best candidate for this role, apply now.

Should this not be the opportunity that you are after but you are looking for a move, please give me a call to discuss other roles.
