Then this role is for you!

A specialised SEMH School is looking for a behavioural assistant, who is compassionate and enjoys working with children with additional needs.

You would be joining a team whose aim is to provide the best educational, care and transition pathways for children and young people from ages 5-12 years who experience difficulties with their learning, communication and social emotional mental health needs.

Your role will include:



* To provide engaging 1 to 1 support for students who require it
* To monitor and evaluate learners' learning under the guidance of the teacher
* To assist teachers in the use of relevant behaviour management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
* To support all learners in their planned structured work

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:



* Be able to work with learners that have various learning barriers
* Have a genuine empathy and understanding of the students with emotional needs.
* Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
* Strong communication skills
