I am currently looking for an experienced, hardworking and responsible bid writer to join my client's team based in Normanton.
You will be joining a multi-award winning, market leading and expanding family run business with +50 years' experience.
This is one the largest asbestos removal companies in the UK, and will allow you the opportunity to work on diverse and iconic projects including historic listed buildings, nuclear sites, Defence, Domestic, Healthcare, Education sectors.
Role...
* Reporting into Business Development Manager - Asbestos Removals
* Assist with Pre-Qualification/Selection Questions but will be lead Bid Writer for all asbestos removal Invitation to Tender submissions
* Managing several bids at once in a demanding and fast paced environment against strict internal and external timelines
* Liaising with regional offices, centralised Bid Team at Head Office (Kent) and several stakeholders within the business to discuss, agree and gather innovative and relevant tender information
* Proof reading and rewriting inbound tender information (technical and non-technical) from wider team
* Maintaining and improving the bid response library, including reviewing post tender submission client feedback
* Managing the end-to-end bid process including assisting the Business Development Manager - Asbestos Removals in leading storyboard/kick-off sessions and mid-tender review meetings
About you
* A minimum 3 years Bid Writing experience from within the construction industry
* Creative approach to writing
* Must be able to meet strict deadlines within a pressurised environment, going over and beyond where necessary to ensure a timely bid submission
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly communicate bid requirements to multiple stakeholders
* Ability to proof read, edit and rewrite written content as part of a client specific, engaging proposal
* Ability to interpret complex information
* Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Professional attitude to work
* Hardworking, flexible and responsible with a positive working attitude and willingness to support colleagues
* Professional attitude to work
* Fully proficient in Microsoft packages, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe
* Full driving licence
