job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced brand manager to join our client, one of the leading tool brands in Europe. This family run business which has been running for over 100 years, maintains the family work ethos of a passionate, caring and determined business, with that of a corporate business focussed on growth across Europe, whose clients are their valuable asset.

Due to team relocation, we are looking for a high calibre professional to join the newly established marketing team in Pwllheli, Gwynedd. The purpose of the role is to ensure there is a prodcut development plan in place for the ranges within this client's portfolio, to implement and manage the strategic direction of promotions to meet company performance targets and meet the requirements of the long-term business plan.

The role will include:



* developing a clear project brief for all promotions with key timings
* project manage the delievry of promotional activity, working clodely with key members in the business
* be aware of competitor activity
* develop channel and promotional strategies with sales management
* work with sales management teams in attending customer accounts to develpo a clear understanding of promotional opportunities
* create an annual programme of e-marketing for the business
* ensure website content is kept up-to-date and content is refreshed regularly with new products and press releases to maximise traffic

This role reports into the Marketing Manager and will be based mainly in Pwllheli, at the foothills of Snowdonia National Park, and will have some requirements to travel within the UK and possible mainland Europe. Applicants must live within 50 miles of Pwllheli HO.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years brand management experience in a B2B or B2C environment, be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, experience of working with outside agencies, marketing and PR, and be able to show evidence of past success in NPD and range development.
